It has a wide core, uses multiple beams of light at the same time,works well for short distances , price is cheap but not good for long distances because the signal weaknens faster.

Cables are buried directly into the ground without extra proetive piping .More durable than overhead cables but harder to repair if damaged .
Drop Fiber Optic Cable
Drop Cables connect the main fiber optic network to homes and buildings.There are also 2 types of Drop cable. Indoor drop cable and outdoor drop cable.
Indoor Drop Cable : These cables are used inside homes, offices and buildings.
Outdoor Drop Cable : These cables are used outside buildings,on poles.
How to Choose Fiber Optic Types
To choose the correct fiber cable, there are three factors which need to be considered:
1. What type of optical cable does the customer need?
2. How many cores are needed? And does he need SM or MM? if he needs MM,OM1.OM2,OM3 or OM4 and so on.
3. How many kilometers are needed?
If you need ADSS fiber cable, we also need to confirm the span length, for example, Span 80meter, span 100meter, span 120meter and so on.
And the optical cable is sold in units of one kilometer.
