The basic process is that the OLT sends a management message and waits for an ONT response. The OMCI protocol is at the high-level control level of the GPON system, and refers to the high-level service configuration and performance management. ITU-TG.984.4 protocol defines the application scope and application mode of OMCI protocol in GPON system. In the GEM mode, each OMCI message is encapsulated in a GEM frame. The OMC1 message consists of 53 bytes. The message content is: GEM lock, transaction-related identifier, message type, device identifier, message identifier, Message content and CRC trailer field.
