How to test EDFA?

What is EDFA ?
The EY-doped fiber Amplifier is a high power optical amplifier. It offers a highly reliable, flexible and low-cost solution for CATV large area coverage of metropolises and medium sized cities, that are high density home pass, especially for FTTH application.

The EDFA are widely used in CATV transmission system and the high power distributing system FTTH requirement. It can be used for CATV analog/digital signal distribution, or match with PON system to construction the triple network integration. (Triple wavelength WDM is optional)
How to test EDFA?
Many clients want to check the EDFA and fiber transmitter devices when they got the goods. How about quality? Can they work normally? How to test them?

Let us tell you a simply test method. You verify the EDFA easily.

Step 1: power the EDFA and optical CATV transmitter

Step 2: contect the transmitter output to EDFA’s input port

Step 3: test the output optical port by optical power meter
What is Baudcom EDFA advantage?
